Rosie Emery grew up in the legendary Sherwood Forest! After moving to Canada from Morocco in 1980, she quickly became involved in protecting the environment. In 1989, concerned with global environmental deterioration, she was inspired to begin writing children’s music about nature. Using her songs to teach how all of life is interconnected, she has performed in hundreds of North American schools, camps and concert halls.

In 1997, Rosie created the Rainbow Road Show, an hour long, full music production that she proceeded to take on the road across Canada accompanied by Marc Coté, a respected, multi-instrumentalist musician from Montreal, and Dawson College student Andrea. The show toured non stop for five and a half months, performing two shows a day! The Rainbow Road continues to be featured at schools, theatres and nature centres in Canada and the U.S.

No stranger to television, Rosie has been featured in specials on Canadian CTV, WTN and YTV as well as on the Hawaiian PBS "Kids Science" show, with Patty Miller. She is currently working with southwest Florida’s PBS station, WGCU Public Media (www.wgcu.org) developing content for their Curious Kids Club website, for which she wrote the theme song, Let’s Get Curious. She is writing and producing short TV segments which will be broadcast in between regular children’s television on WGCU-TV and producing outreach programs for WGCU’s six county viewing region.

Rosie is also partnered with Montreal animation company Little Animation Inc. to produce The Little Earth Charter, an animated music video which conveys the universal principals of the Earth Charter (www.earthcharter.org) to young children. In addition, they are developing Earth to Rosie, a series of hilarious new-media games which invite children to explore earth-friendly activities through humour, animation, music and interactive choices. You can learn more about these programs at www.littleanimation4kids.com

Rosie’s song Dolphin Teach us to Play is featured on the International Earth Charter CD/School Kit which is endorsed by UNESCO and the World Wildlife Fund as a key element for the implementation of the UN Decade for Education for Sustainable Education. Rosie has 3 CD’s available and tracks can be downloaded from her website at: www.interconnected.ca.

Through her live performances, radio broadcasts, CD’s and national television specials over the last decade, Rosie’s musical message of hope, empathy and action has captivated millions of children across North America and around the world.
